What Causes Bloody Vaginal Discharge?

Hello everybody ! So I am need of help and sugesstions of exactly what exactly is going on. Lately me and my lover have been sexualy active within these past 2 weeks. ( just about everyday or every other day.) More to speak I believed I ve ovulated 7 days ago. About 6 or five days ago i noticed a little bit of discharge was starting to have a fade shade of blood(but still clear and see through) , so i figured I was just about to start my monthly. Although , within the next two days nothing happened. If anything the discharge was less and less to the point where there was no traces when i checked during my restroom breaks. Again, it didnt seem so serious, so i just kind of overlooked it. Within the third day, it started to appear again( faint red discharge.) but now it was started to become more visible. It would be a full light pink when i checked myself in the bathroom. Later that night my significant other and i had intercourse again, next thing i know i looked and i was bleeding . Like a lot to where it looks like my period had just started. i figured it was just my period. The next day came and it seemed almost no blood, kind of just spotting in a way. But everything kind of a dark brownish tint this time. Throughout the day the traces of brown would fade away into nothing again. I talked to my lover and he had told me that 3 days ago(day after ovulation) that when we had intercourse it was just as bloody as yesterdays. (TMI sorry:/) Now two days later and there are no traces of blood and im just curious of what could be happening to me. Im open to suggestions because I ve never had this issue. My periods can get irregular month to month, but I ve always been pretty normal flowing for a full 7 days. Please Help ! i feel its too early to take a pregnancy test due to the fact i shouldnt start for another week.
