What Causes Blotchy Rashes On Abdomen And Chest After Taking Amoxicillin?

hello my 7month old son has a chest infection and was prescribed amoxicillin liquid. I gave him his first dose this afternoon and he is due another dose now. I have just changed him and noticed he has a mild blotchy rash on his tummy and chest. I'm not sure if he has mild hives or if it's his mild eczema that's returned. I'm unsure if it's safe to give him the next dose or whether to cease giving him the antibiotics?
He seems happy in himself and there's no apparent itching.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it the blotches and hives have occurred immediately after giving him antibiotics there is a possibility that it is due to allergic reaction to the antibiotic and it needs to be stopped immediately and the Paediatrician has to be consulted and a clinical examination has to be conducted..
In case if it is due to allergic reaction he/she can advise your son to take anti-allergic medication like Benadryl and doing cool compresses over the rashes..
If it is due to sprouting of eczema it will be treated accordingly..
