What Causes Bluish And Greenish Bruising On Left Ankle?

My name is Asher I am 25 years old. I was at a frineds house about a week and half ago and I fell down a flight of stairs and hurt both ankles and my knee. My right ankle heeled fine, but I have bluish/greenish bruising on my left ankle that wont go away and my knee bother's me when I walk. Is this a sign of torn ligaments and do I need to get x-rays or some other test ran or do I need to just keep resting my knee and ankle
