What Causes Bluish-purple Bruise In Eyes After An Injury?

My 5 year old daughter was hit in the cheekbone just under her left eye by a flying object. The area is full of water just ubder her eye and purple and the entire cheek is a hard raised area with a bluish hue. She said it doesnt really hurt her. We have had ice on it intermittently for 3 days

I really appreciate your concern, ideally such injury case need to be investigated and x-ray of injured area need to be done, now anti-inflammatory drug can be tried and best option would be "Ibuprofen" in my opinion no need to take any risk and better to get done the clinical examination and ophthalmic examination too, hope this information helps, take care.
