What Causes Blurred Vision And Hallucination After Consuming Alcohol?

I have been taking Celexa since 2009 and have been taking 40 mgs since 2011. I started taking my medication at night instead of in the morning. One weekend I went out with friends and drank alcohol and started feeling bad. Loss of motor skills, extreme blurred vision, and later on in the night I started hallucinating. I have drank alcohol numerous time while taking celexa, but I usually took it in the morning. My questions is could my symptoms be because I had changed the schedule of taking my medication?

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Celexa should be taken in morning time. Using it with alcohol may lead to excessive intoxication which can cause hallucination. Apart from that adulterated alcohol or using cannabis/LSD with alcohol can lead to hallucination.

So taking medicines in morning and stopping alcohol will help you to prevent such incidence.

Wishing her good health and all the best.
