What Causes Blurred Vision And Lack Of Facial Recognition?

My father earlier today totally did not recognise me, he had no clue who I was. It only last a couple of seconds. A couple of days earlier my father also had very blurry vision which again only lasted a few minutes. He is 84 1/2 and as a low form of sugar diabetes ?

Impairement in vision and memory might be an indication of acute attack of ischaemia which occurs due to decrease in blood supply to the brain.
But we also have to rule out other causes of the complains like low blood sugar levels,hypotension.
So i would advise patients coming to me with such complains to do some lab investigations
1.Blood sugar levels random immediately.
2.CT brain
3.Haemogram
and follow with these lab reports to a local doctor or physician.
