What Causes Blurred Vision And Nausea While Having Viral Meningitis?

I was diagnosed with viral meningitis and am going into my 4th month of dealing with vision issues (double vision, blurry vision), balance issues, headaches and nausea. How long does it usually take to relieve the symptoms? I had it for over 2 months before the lumbar puncture was done and diagnosed the problem. MRI and MRV were okay.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated.

Most probably you have succumbed optic neuritis which leads to vision loss.

You might require steroids to regain your vision.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
