What Causes Blurred Vision And Shortness Of Breath When Standing?

Hi, I ve experienced shortness of breath at times when I got up suddenly from a couch for example for the past 1 or 2 days. This has happened around 3 times now. I m also experiencing sudden blurry vision in 1 or both eyes (the eye changed from left to right today and once it was both eyes) for around a week now. Any pointers ?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Shortness of breath while getting up suddenly from couch could be due to cardiac problem. I suggest you to consult a cardiologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations. Blurring of vision in both eyes could be due to refractive error, increased intra-ocular pressure or lens related pathology. I suggest you to consult an ophthalmologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
