What Causes Blurred Vision, Eye Floaters And Disorientation?

Hello. My name is Dianne and I have been an asthmatic since I was 5 years old, now almost 51. I have been on more inhalers than I can count and have recently read somewhere that they can cause High blood pressure. Never had a problem before now with that...145/91...and trouble with my eyes...blurring, floaters, lightening flashes, trouble at night. I get disoriented in the dark. Have been to 3 eye doctors and all say nothing is wrong and no doctor has ever said anything about the BP. They just put it in the chart (2 different places as we have moved). I get heart palpitations that make me cough, dizzy spells, and have stenosis in my neck and spondylolisthesis in my back. My butt, legs, and feet are going numb and no one seems to care. I go thru all the tests the doctors recommend for them to tell me my legs are numb and my eyes are fine. Duh! Am I crazy or is something wrong here? Thanx for listening

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are experiencing symptoms and I hope that I can offer a few suggestions as to what you may be going through. While I would have preferred to have a consultation with you, these are my 2 cents:
- Has your retina been checked by the eye doctors?
- Do you experience headaches regularly?
- You can ask your regular doctor to prescribe a carotid doppler for you.
- You can be reevaluated for a cataract (also common with steroids which you may have used for your asthma)

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
