Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 50 year old woman - had a bilateral mastectomy last June (2016), radiation after. From the radiation had a bit of a heart issue that I am currently being treated for. All in all feeling much better. My question is, I have been waking up for the last week cross-eyed. I am feeling a bit off this week as well. I am having solid nights of sleep, so am not concerned about getting enough rest. I am on 75 mg of Metroplol for the heart and ansastrozole for the post cancer surgery to suppress hormones. I Emailed my NP regarding this cross-eyed thing and have not heard back. Should I push to be seen? She did schedule an appointment with me for August 15 -
Yes, you need to get it reviewed with an eye examination initially, followed by visual field examination, fundoscopy and visual acuity.
If any abnormalities are detected brain imaging like CT or MRI should be done to rule out any signs of metastatic lesions or for any other space occupying lesion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
