Hi,

I am sorry for the accident your husband had.

The loss of vision he had was due to the shock experienced after hitting the ladder. I advise to get him checked by cardiologist and to run cardiac tests to evaluate his heart condition.

Apply cold compresses to the hit area and give OTC pain-killer (acetaminophen or ibuprofen).

All the best!
