What Causes Blurred Vision, Lightheadedness, Dizziness And Intermittent Throbbing Headache?

I am a 21 year old female. Saturday afternoon I experienced sudden onset blurred vision, light-headedness, and dizziness. I have also had a intermittent throbbing headache. After a visit to the Emergency room, the doctor seemed stumped. After six hours he decided that it is likely a viral inner ear infection. I was put on a medicine for the dizziness and pain from the headache. Every test he ran came back normal (EKG, CT, Blood Work). I am still dealing with severe light-headedness and a fever (even with medicine). What should I do? I have an appointment with my primary care doctor in two days.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all, no need to worry for inner ear or brain related diseases because your CT brain is normal. At your age of 21 years, migraine is more likely for your symptoms. So consult your primary doctor and discuss about possibility of migraine. Follow these steps for better symptomatic relief in migraine.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
3. Take Propranolol and Flunarizine combination.
4. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Avoid Fasting, take your meals timely.
5. Take sound sleep of 6-8 hours.

Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
