General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Considering the family history with increased pressure behind the eyes, most striking condition here sounds to be elevated intraocular pressure responsible for a headache and pain in eyes.

There can be microangiopathy of the ocular artery, cataract or other lesions responsible for the same.

A thorough fundus examination with an ophthalmologist is a must to cure the condition at earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
