What Causes Blurry And Double Vision With Racing Pulse?

Hi I experienced blurred/double vision today and racing pulse. Felt very strange and I was sitting down when this came over me, why did this happen? I have experienced dizzy spells over the past couple of years but this was the most severe and lasted about a minute.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Blurred vision, increased heart rate can be due to abnormal heart rate or rhythm, abnormal electrolytes or a pre syncopal (before fainting) episode.

Abnormal heart rate or rhythm would do this by affecting the blood flow to the brain, this also occurs in the pre syncopal episode.

If it recurs then you may need to see your doctor. An ecg to take a look at the heart rate or rhythm may be needed.

I hope this helps
