What Causes Body Ache Along With Insomnia?

My daughter is 51yrs. old. She is has flu like symptoms , aching, no energy, doesn t sleep well and her whole body hurts constantly. Her dr. did a little blood work, we thought he should have done a full panel. Do you have any suggestions on what to check? She has been to a cardiologist last yr. Thank You.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Viral infection is common and they can cause all these symptoms. If her BP and pulse are fine and her basic blood work is OK, I personally understand she does not need a full panel. We can wait for a few days where she can use some painkiller like paracetamol and more fluid and wait a few days. If things don't improve in a few days or she feels very sick, she can always seek another opinion and further work.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
