What Causes Body Ache And Headache While On Spironolactone?

I have been experiencing body ache and headache for the past 6-7 weeks. I currently take birth control and spirono lactone. I also had strep throat 6 weeks ago and was give PCN for this. The headaches and body aches have continued to worsen and have started to get the chills. I m just wondering if the spirono lactone could be playing a factor, I just started taking that about a month ago but had these h/a before starting the spironolactone.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to spironolactone.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
