What Causes Body Ache And Stomach Ache After Recovering From Pneumonia?

Ever since I had pneumonia in December, I feel like I have stayed sick. I got a mild case of flu from my daughter which turned into bronchitis. This was 3 weeks ago and I still feel achiness and occasional stomach upset. I’m concerned. I’ve never stayed sick this long.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your worry is well in place but what I can understand if you are otherwise ok, this feeling of sickness after pneumonia does not seem to be worrisome, pneumonia had been found to produce malaise and body aches and a sense of general unwellness for quite a time after it is cured, cough and body aches can persist for up to 3 months but that does not need any treatment if you are otherwise well I mean you must not have a temperature and now you must not be short of breath by now the feeling of sickness can persists, so don't worry, if you feel anything else is wrong, then I would advise to see a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
