What Causes Body Aches And Joint Ache After A Stroke?

Hi. I have a friend that had a mild stroke on 3/8. He has gone through MRI s and blood tests. He was in the hospital for about 4 days. Since getting home, he has been fatigued, he says his body aches and his joints hurt. Today he came down with a fever of 101. He was also dehydrated when he went to the hospital. From the stroke, he has loss some strength on his left side. Any ideas what might be wrong with him ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that he may have a new onset infection likely either viral or bacterial that is causing the fever, fatigue and pain.

These are symptoms that can occur with viral or bacterial infections.

He may need to go back to the hospital if he is still dehydrated and there is no improvement in his temperature.

Physiotherapy would help to improve the weakness on the left.

I hope this helps
