What Causes Body Chills Along With Shivering?

An 80 year old woman has had chills and shivering episodes off and on for several days. THe room is not cold, but her feet feel cold and she states she feels cold. Have not taken temp, but her head felt warm, not exceptionally warm at times. She piled on covers last night and sweated through several shirts She felt better this morning, but is feeling chilled again tonight.

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possibilities like urinary tract infection as they can present with similar symptoms.
