Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, My husband tells me he is freezing and has uncontrollable shivering. No temp. but has a headache. He does have heart issues. Should I be concerned, what should I keep a look out for? Leslie Hellerstedt.YYYY@YYYY
As there is excess shivering and headache, there is presence of underlying inflammation in the body (though there is no fever). Suggestions for you: • Cover him with enough warm blankets, taking care if he is breathing proper • Maintain room temperature at his convenience level • Tab Tylenol stat dose with green tea or coffee • Measure BP with digital instrument, and keep record of temperature 6 hourly • Ask for any chest pain • Consult later doctor if condition persists beyond 4 to 6 hours
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
