What Causes Body Chills And Headache?

Hello, My husband tells me he is freezing and has uncontrollable shivering. No temp. but has a headache. He does have heart issues. Should I be concerned, what should I keep a look out for? Leslie Hellerstedt.YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As there is excess shivering and headache, there is presence of underlying inflammation in the body (though there is no fever). Suggestions for you:
• Cover him with enough warm blankets, taking care if he is breathing proper
• Maintain room temperature at his convenience level
• Tab Tylenol stat dose with green tea or coffee
• Measure BP with digital instrument, and keep record of temperature 6 hourly
• Ask for any chest pain
• Consult later doctor if condition persists beyond 4 to 6 hours

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
