What Causes Body Imbalance And Tingling In The Arms And Face?

Can I still have a Vestibular problem if my eng testing came back within normal range ? I have been sick for almost 4 years with being off balanced, tingling in arms/ hands and face, derealization, no hearing loss but ringing in ears, confusion, memory problems, trouble falling and staying asleep, waves of just plain feeling horrible and tons of anxiety. MRI and CT tests all normal. Did VRT with a PT for 5 months with little improvement. Misdiagnosed with ear aches to Vestibular Neuritis. Earliest Neurology appointment I could get is July. Any help or direction would be greatly welcomed. Thank you! Donna I have been unemployed for 3 years now and can not pay, thought this could be a free service

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You may be suffering from anxiety neurosis or panic attacks.
Panic attacks can cause blood rushing to the most important parts of the body that can aide fight or flight. This, therefore, leaves the less important areas feeling weak, numb or tingly.

1. Other possibilities like chronic fatigue syndrome or demyelinating neuropathy or posterior circulation stroke etc.
2. Do yoga and meditation regularly
3. Avoid cool drinks and fridge water.
4. Avoid smoking and alcohol.
5. Use capsule B12 once a day for one week.
6. Please get a thyroid profile test done.
7. Also serum electrolytes, serum calcium and magnesium.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
