I AM 50 YEARS MALE HAVING CHOLESTEROL 215 BP 130/80 DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME ROSAVE 5 MG AFTER USING THIS MEDICINE I HAVE SEVIOUR BODY PAINS ,JOINT PAINS . IS THIS BECAUSE OF THE MEDICINE ? IF IT IS BECAUSE OF MEDICINE CAN YOU PLEASE SUGGEST ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

Hi,

Rosave 5 mg contains rosuvastatin which belongs to a class of medications known as statin is used to lower cholesterol and to reduce the risk of heart disease. Cholesterol is a fatty element that builds up in your blood vessels and causes narrowing which may lead to a heart attack or stroke. Stop taking this medication abruptly may increase your cholesterol levels, making your condition worse and increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Its Common side effects are muscle pain, body ache, weakness, nausea, headache, stomach pain etc. These side effects are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult with your doctor if they persist or if you experience unexplained or get repeated muscle pain.
