What Causes Body Pain Despite Taking Percocet Post Neck Surgery?

I had surgery on my neck for degenerative disc problem 3 weeks ago. I am not having any problems with my neck but I am having problems with body aches & chills. I have been taking percocet which was prescribed for my pan after surgery but it appears that nothing else helps with the body aches. I was trying to cut back on the amount taken by cutting the pill in half, but every 8 hrs the problem returns.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The presence of the aches and chills imply that an infection may be present.
Chills are usually indicative of a fever.

This may not be related to your operation. It may be due to an entirely different source.
If you can pinpoint any other symptoms, it may be possible to identify the source.

It may be best to see your doctor for an assessment if your symptoms continue.

I hope this helps
