What Causes Body Pain, Headache And Chills?

My wife is having body aches and chills are over. No temp. Not throwing up. She was a little light headed yesterday after beng in the pool. She drank water and the headache was tolerable. and got ut of the sun. During the night she had cold chills (almost uncontrollable and they would subside and return. We had a cookout with friends yesterday, but am not aware of anyone else getting or feeling sick. Her chills have returned this evening and I checked her temperature and it is normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Looking at the description, it appears that your wife is having prodromal symptoms of infection, particularly water borne.
She needs to get WIDAL test to rule out typhoid. If it is negative, then it could be initial stage of respiratory infection. If she gets symptoms if cough, throat and nasal congestion, then it needs to be treated.
In any case, it needs administration of appropriate antibiotics.
