Hi my friend who has just been diagnosed HIV positive (two weeks ago) (t count 495), has been suffering from acing body, nausea, and has a temperature of 38.6 for the last two days, could this be related to the hiv directly, or could it be a bug he picked up, should I be concerned
This is more likely to be related to a bug your friend picked up, and not the HIV. The bad infections that occur with HIV don't usually happen until the T cell count is much lower. If the symptoms don't clear up in a few days, he probably should see his doctor. He might have an infection that antibiotics can help.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
