What Causes Body Tremors And Pain In An Elderly Person?

My mom woke up at 3 in the morning complaining she is shivering cold and shaking. He head, neck and rest of body hurts and is sore. She doesn t fee cold when I touch her. She s 73 old and doesn t have a fever. She just moved apartments. What could this be? Should I tak her to the hospital or wait it out?

It is possible that she has an early infection.

Chills would normally be associated with a fever but she may not have the full gamut of symptoms yet.
Muscle and joint pain are also in keeping with an infection.

It may be best to take her to the doctor for assessment.
