What Causes Body Twitching And Dizzy Spells?

My body twitches and tingles on the left side when trying to sleep. I also am awaken by dizzy spells in the back right side of my head. My tongue also constantly has a tingling sensation and metallic taste constantly. After a bad episode of this my body will ache where it was tingling and so will the back of my head. I am desperate. I have been sick with this for almost a year. I am afraid I will have to drop out of school if not resolved. I am suppose to be starting clinicals for ultrasound in less than a month! Had hundreds of test done but know one can tell me anything. I am seeing a Ruematologist for a positive ana but she is confused.
