What Causes Bowel Incontinence?

My husband has been having increased episodes of loss of bowel control. He has a long history of back pain, degenerative disc disease and lumbar scoliosis. He also has been using alcohol on a daily basis to help with pain control (he is on narcotic pain medications as well).

HI
Well come to HCM
Here few condition being described and this are not related with each other, for the bowel movement this could be normal one if this is 3 to 4 times in day without loss of much water, back pain may be due to spinal disease and this need to be managed accordingly, if he is taking alcohol for pain then this wont help him, for the pain he need to have any NSAID (Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drug ) and best medicines would be "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg sustain release once in day, hope this information helps, take care.
