What Causes Bowel Movement During Urination?

Hi, Hi Dr. Rynne, I have been having stomach pains for 3 months. I have IBS. I just recently relocated and have not found a doctor yet. For the past 10 days, I have been having a bowel movement every time I urinate. What can be causing this? My email address is YYYY@YYYY Thank you DC

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This would indicate that you have fecal incontinence which is the inability to control bowel movements.

Fecal incontinence has different possible causes including irritable bowel syndrome though your doctor may want to rule out other possible causes.

Some other causes include nerve damage, inflammatory bowel disease, damage to the anal sphincter, constipation.

The treatment would depend on the cause found.

I hope this helps
