What Causes Bowel Movement Upon Intake Of Food Followed By Heart Palpitations?

Most of the time after I eat, I end up having a big panic attack. I ll need to immediately make a bowel movement. Once that is done, my panic becomes even more worse and I can spend up to the next hour with fast heart palpitations and feeling like I need to vomit. There doesnt seem to be a correlation in what I m eating or the amount that i m eating that causes it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

The timing of the bowel movement in such cases is important. In how much time after the meal does the bowel movement take place? Do you experience cramps or pains after the meal? If so, in how long? And so on.

But I do relate your presentation to either a gastric condition like peptic ulcer disease, or a gastrointestinal condition like irritable bowel syndrome, so please do report to a doctor for further management.

Best wishes.
