What Causes Brain Stroke In An Elderly Dementia Patient?

My mom is 88 years old. She has dementia and living in a wonderful dementia/Alzheimer s home. She was active and happy until wed evening when she had a stroke and went to the hospital. She was give TPA. Scan showed a brain bleed. She has slight strength/mobility on right and left side, can t speak or eat but recognizes me and other family members. She has an IV with antibiotics and sucrose as they found pneumonia in the chest X-ray. She is also diabetic. The place where she has lived for the past year, is not a skilled nursing facility, they can not take her on an IV or stomach plug, but can liquify her food and meds and bring in hospice. She, at this point can t even drink through a straw and the hospital will probably want to release her on Monday. my choices are send her to another facility or bring in hospice and let her go in peace. I don t know what to do. THe doc said today that an inprovement is usually seen in three days. Tomorrow is day 3. I know she would want quality of life but I am having trouble with what to do.
