What Causes Breast Pain Along With Chest Infection?
Hi I have really bad pain in my right breast. I have been suffering for the last 3 months with chest infection which I have had 2 lots of antibiotics for and 2 lots of steroids. I am seeing the consultant next week however for the last 3 weeks this pain has got a lot worse? Coughing and sneezing are the worsed and also trying to get out of bed and breathing. When lying down the pain is really bad when I press the underside of my right breast. Pain killers don t seem to touch it.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having severe lower respiratory tract infection and require evaluation of your case. Go for x-ray chest and complete blood testing to rule out pneumonitis and other chest infection. Due to spasmodic cough you might be having strain of inter-coastal muscles giving rise this type of pain as well. Take some cough suppressant syrup. Ok and take care.
