What Causes Breathing Difficulty After Choking Up On Food?

Yesterday I had a choking incident from a piece of nut. I was coughing and had a hard time breathing for about a half hour. Since then there is a burning pain in my chest right in the middle. Is there anything I should do or will this go away on its own
