General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, she needs detailed evaluation with CT chest as well as an echocardiogram to rule out raised right-sided heart pressures and condition called cor pulmonale.

Lung pathology may be caused for low oxygen percentage and if needed isolation of cause may help to treat the exact cause and condition may reverse but close follow up with a pulmonologist is a must.

Meanwhile, continue long-term oxygen support and other reversible causes of lungs fluids like edema due to heart conditions or due to infections may be treated for better oxygen delivery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
