What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Blood In Phlegm?
Hi Doctor, A friend (32 years old) has blood streaks in Phlegm from Nose and Throat. He fell sick about 4 days ago and had fever with breathing difficulty for a couple of days. The blood was red at times and coffee brown at times. I m presuming its due to inhalation of mosquito repellents. What could be the issue ?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of breathing difficulty and blood in phlegm which seems to be due to inflammation and blockage of sinuses leading to upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Avoid intake of outside food and cold carbonated beverages.
If symptoms keeps on persisting visit general practitioner once and get complete examination done. You should get culture of sinuses done to find correct diagnosis. Go for blood and sputum test as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
