What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Rapid Heart Rate?

I had 3 nights of minimal sleep, had a night of drinking beer, drove out of town to a funeral, and came home. The next day I did a 45 minute work out and some racking in the yard and I began to have some difficulty breathing with rapid heart rate. I got very anxious and started sweating, got light headed and just fell down on the floor during the 2nd episode of these symptoms. I felt breathless and kind of lightheaded. Any Thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Racing of heart is common and mostly not serious, however, If heart racing is associated with lightheadedness and sweating, this should always be taken seriously to rule out heart rhythm problems.

So I would suggest you should urgently report to the ER and get a heart tape done and be evaluated by the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
