I slipped and fell January 2nd. The first thing to hit were my left ribs into a sofa table. I saw Doctor 2 days later and X-rays confirmed that ribs were not broken only bruised. The pain has not gotten better but worse. It is harder to breathe and to do pretty much any normal activity. Plus I now have gotten pain in my left shoulder. Should I go back to my doctor for a reevaluation, or is it normal for bruised ribs to get worse before they get better?
