ENT Dear Doctor, I am herewith enclosing the ct scan of PNS and the report belong to my wife 66 years and diabetic. She has trouble occassionally while breathing particularly at night and some times in the day time for the last 10 years. We have tried all sorts of medicines but no permanent relief. We were told by my ENT specialist that endoscopic surgery is the best to solve the problem permanently and it is a simple surgery. Impression:The problem is bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy noted (left and right),2.Conchha bullosa of right middle turbinate noted. paranasal sinuses are well aerated.Deviation of nasal septum to wards left with nasal spur on the left indenting . Kindly go through these reports and advise us.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests a deviated nasal septum with turbinate hypertrophy responsible for the upper airway obstruction.

As rightly said by your ENT specialist, surgery is the permanent solution for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
