What Causes Breathing Difficulty While Suffering From Interstitial Cystitis?

I have been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis five years ago. I started taking Elmiron at that time. I became weak and had trouble catching my breath. I thought it was my autoimmune Sjogrens Syndrome. I believe now that it is the Elmiron. I was in heart failure a year later: my heart couldn’t keep up with the accumulation of fluid due to a stiffening of the heart muscle (diastolic dysfunction). I have gotten progressively worse. I stopped taking Elmiron two days ago and I have slept the best in five years. Still having difficulty breathing but it doesn’t feel life threatening yet. Any recommendations for me? Thank you, Linda Edminsten

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since it's a complex cyst it's better if u go for an operation because if it s prolonged it might lead to complications later on.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
