What Causes Breathing Difficulty?

YES I WAS SLEEPING, AND SUDENLY I WAS AWAKE WITHOUT BREATHING THIS WAS HORRIBLE CAN YOU TELL ME WAS HAPPEND ALSO THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME IS HAPPENING, I CANT BREATHE MY WIFE TRY TO DO SOMETHING TAPPING IN MY CHEST, BUT THIS EPISODE LAST FOR SECONDS BUT I FELT I WAS DYING,I HAVE HIGH BLOD PRESURE BUT IS CONTROLED, AND MANY YEARS AGO I HAVE A SURGERY FOR CORRECTION MY SYNOSITIS IN MY NOISE. Most likely you are having a condition called Sleep Apnoea. It is a condition where the air way gets collapsed during sleep causing choking .

Most common cause for this is overweight but sometimes it can happen due to excessive deposition of fat around the neck .

For the confirmation of diagnosis you need to get a test called SLEEP STUDY. If this condition is confirmed then you need to consult either a physician or a Pulmonologist . Depending on the severity of the problem you may be advised for only weight reduction or Weight reduction with oxygen treatment at night .
