What Causes Breathlessness And Chest Pain After Taking Carvedilol And Furosemide?
Good day Dr. My cardiologist placed me on furosimide, carvedilol, lisinopril, and spironolactone simultaneously when I had difficulty breathing, chest pain, and a BP of 165/90. My BP became normal after months of medication not exceeding 120/76 on the average. I don t have any swelling on anywhere on my body and wondered why I have to be on furosimide and Spiro. With normal BP, I sometimes feel like passing out and at times have palpitations. My triglycerides measured 266mmol while cholesterol are all within normal range. I weigh 83kg and 45yrs old. Pls kindly advice me Doc.
Most likely you have cardiac dysfunction and to manage that only you were advised to take diuretics and you should not stop it without consulting your treating cardiologist. I will suggest you to get an Echocardiography and KFT done and consult with reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
