What Causes Breathlessness And Heart Palpitations After Taking Althea Pills?

Hi if I stop taking althea pills on 6th day as it resulted to short breath, hard to breath,uneasiness, heart palpitate, dryness of throat, always thirsty. Would there be any side effects if I stop? and I took the pills due to hormonal imbalance this will not correct my menstruation is always 1month and excessive bleeding will come back?

Hi,

You need to get yourself reviewed for chest examination and EKG as well as echocardiogram. Chest X-ray may also be done. All this to exclude pulmonary embolism or any dangerous complication of pills should be done. Meanwhile recent hormonal profile may be needed to decide whether to change the medication or to increase or decrease the amount.
