What Causes Breathlessness And Pain In Chest And Shoulder Post Cystoscopy?

Last Monday had a cystoscopy and hydrodilation and went I was being put under anaethetic I went into SVT, on awakening I was fine they had given me metpolol while under BP was 105/70 on admission and went to 168/98 when under post op blood stayed around 84/49. Three days later experienced shortness of breath, chest pains and right pain in shoulder blade and neck. Presented at hospital underwent Troponin one was at 4.4 and the others were good. Also underwent stress test came back fine. Still am getting chest pains and shoulder neck pain... I was in hospital for 4 days have now been discharged!! Any info

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have breathlessness and pain in chest and shoulder post cystoscopy . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , chest infection , muscle spasm and viral infection . But in your case the symptoms are probably due to heart condition known as angina . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist without any delay . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile , chest X-ray and sometimes angiography to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like acid reflux . Doctor may prescribe isosorbide nitrate along with aspirin , betablockers and diuretics. You should also consult your surgeon as the symptoms can occur due to post surgery complication. For now take proper rest and do not exert our body .
