What Causes Breathlessness And Unpleasant Odour From Nostrils Inspite Of Taking Zpac?

I just had a sinus infection and I was given the zpac antibiotics which helped the infection go away. I can't breathe out of both of my nostrils. Now I have an odor coming from my nose. It's horrible. Do I still have a sinus infection or can it be something else?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of breathlessness due to congestion or stuffiness in nose as well as bad smell in nose is most probably due to sinus infection only as you already have a history of sinusitis..
You should consult your treating physician or an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you antibiotics like Levofloxacin, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Motrin or Aleve, decongestants both oral as well as nasal like Pseudoephadrine or Phenylephrine, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
Saline nasal sprays and steroid nasal sprays can further relieve..
As of now you can start taking steam inhalations with a few drops of eucalyptus oil in boiling water.
Take nasal decongestants like Otrivin or Nasivion for opening up nasal passages..
