What Causes Bright Red Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy?

i there . I had unprotected sex on the 30/06 and the 1/07 . I then had my period on the 3/07 . I experience pregnancy symptoms . Now I am 4 weeks pregnant . Yesterday I started bleeding which I thought was my period . But it is extremely light flow and it barely fills a panty liner . I slept with a panty liner on and when I woke up there was a gushing of blood into the panty liner but still it s not my regular flow . I believe the little blobs in the blood was because the blood coagulated while I slept because it was also red . The colour is bright red . This is now the second day still very light flow and no clots the release of the blood is not constant . Am I still carrying ? Or am I have a miscarriage ? I ve read about implantation bleeding but I m quiet worried. And I m experiencing constipation and yesterday night I experienced mild cramping . Thanks please answerr urgently .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
I will suggest you take a pregnancy test before assuming its pregnancy. The symptoms you present could be caused by many medical conditions. Some possible causes include: pregnancy/related complications, hormonal imbalances, stress, Pelvic infections/STIs or just your normal menses.
I will suggest you take a pregnancy test immediately. If positive, you see your Doctor to investigate why you are bleeding and how to stop it.If negative, just observe since bleeding not much.If it persist longer than your normal menses, you see your Doctor for investigation. In this case, a pelvic ultrasound and an infectious work-up will be needed.
Hop my answer will help you
Best regards
