What Causes Bright Red Vaginal Spotting While On Implanon Despite Having Irregular Periods?

Hello, I am on Impanon and have been having bright red spotting for about a week. It is normally only in the morning and at night. I also havent had a period the whole 2 years and a half years I have been on it. Is this usual? I have had spotting before but it has always been dark.

Hi, i do care for your concern.
The mean life span of implanon is about 3 years, however it may be altered due to various metabolism.
Since two and an half years have been passed, i would advise to check the efficacy of device with your gynec.
It is advisable to have other barier methods of contraception, until the efficacy of device has been tested.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
thank you.
