What Causes Brown Color Semen After A Colonoscopy?

Hello... I am researching a symptom I am having with my semen.. I noticed a dark brown looking phlem mixed in the first release of ejaculate.. I have noticed this twice in a row now,,with about 10 hours between. There are no other symptoms or pain that I have noticed. I am not taking any medications, nor have had any injuries. I had a colonscopy 14 months ago. All good. I am in extremely good health with no blood pressure or cholesterol issues. I road bike 130 miles a week . I am open to suggestions,,, Thank you !!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unrelated to colonoscopy. Conditions like urethral stones must be ruled out. Consult a urologist and plan for a semen analysis to look for any blood cells in the semen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
