What Causes Brown Discharge After Taking Placebo Pills?

Hi, I m on birth control and I skipped the placebo pills and went straight to a new pack to skip my period for the month. I started having dark brown discharge when I was supposed to start my normal period. Is this breakthrough bleeding or my normal period, even though I continued to take the pills with hormones in it. How long should this spotting last?

Hi, I think it is a breakthrough bleed. It will go away in few days. You can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the spotting. Talk to your doctor regarding this.
