Hi, my vagina opening looks different. I know what I m seeing is not labia. This is at the opening to the canal and it s closed, fleshy, ridgy, can be opened and looks normal colored. Also brown discharge. I have been very worried because I don t think it used to be there, but can t go to a doctor

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It appears to be prolapse uterus. Uterus being displaced down in vagina. The bleeding could be menstrual Or from eroded uterine mouth (cervix) due to friction. Try to push it in gently and wear a pad to hold it there. If not possible go to ER for help and advice for further management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
