What Causes Brown Discharge While On Chateal Birth Control?
I am on Chateal birth control. I took my first pill the same day I started my period which was the 20th of June. That was my first time ever taking the pill. I messed up my schedule a bit, and now I am still having discharge, except this time its just brown. I haven t had sex since I started the pill is there something wrong?
Blackish or brownish discharge may be a part of your menstrual cycle and require no special treatment. Irregular bleeding or brownish discharge can also occur due to birth control pills. When the discharge is heavy and accompanied by other symptoms like fever, pain, or a bad odor, vaginal infection should be suspected and treated with antibiotics. Otherwise these symptoms will reduce in the next cycle when your body adapts to the newer hormone levels.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
